Job summary

The Abaca Group Inc is hiring for a Full-Time server in Metro Manila. The role involves taking orders, handling payments, and delivering friendly service with a strong customer focus.

You will participate in product knowledge sessions, assist guests, and promote services while maintaining accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or related field.
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant food service experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and drink orders and encode to POS.
• Make menu recommendations and answer guests’ questions.
• Attend product knowledge sessions and learn menu updates.
• Interact with customers and accept payment for orders.
• Demonstrate strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Provide friendly, respectful service and promote restaurant offerings.
• Answer guest inquiries and greet customers in a timely manner.
• Know the restaurant well to answer guest questions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree program in HRM/ any related course.

• At least six (6) months to one (1) year experience, preferably in the same industry. (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

• Proficient communication skills both verbal and written.

• Detail-oriented.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Take accurate food and drink orders, using order slips and encode to POS ordering software.

• Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons.

• Ensures knowledge of menu items by attending product knowledge sessions and reviewing product updates including if possible, the manner of preparation for each menu item.

• Interacting with customers and accepting payment from them for products and services provided.

• Showcases assets like excellent numerical skills, attention to details, courtesy, customer service orientation, and teamwork.

• Serves each customer / guest respectfully, swiftly and effectively with an honest, positive, friendly, and exuberant attitude.

• Promoting services, improving customer satisfaction, answering inquiries, reporting to the restaurant's manager, and greeting customers.

• Have a general knowledge of the restaurant to answer guest queries.
