Job summary

MAVI is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations for US-based businesses from the Philippines. You will own end-to-end accounting for one or more US entities, lead monthly close, manage GL and reconciliations, and coordinate with auditors.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of accounting with US exposure, CPA/CA/CMA/ACCA preferred, and strong communication with senior stakeholders. Flexible remote work with global impact awaits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting and finance experience with significant US exposure.
• CPA, CA, CMA, or ACCA preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience working directly with US clients or US-based companies.
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for US entities/clients.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, KPIs, budgets, and forecasts.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Support process improvements and ERP implementations.
