Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience for US-based clients
• Experience with month-end/year-end close, GL review, journal entries, reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies
• Experience with a US accounting or bookkeeping firm is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review GL activity and investigate unusual or unsupported balances.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end close across multiple client entities.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for tax preparation.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and resolve routine bookkeeping issues.
• Maintain accurate client records and follow up on outstanding accounting items.
• Work primarily in QuickBooks Online across multiple client files.
