Job summary

AECOM in the Philippines seeks an Associate Director – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to lead the T&D team on major international energy projects, primarily UK and global markets. This senior role provides governance across BESS, renewables and grid connection, guiding feasibility through commissioning.

You will oversee design reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate with global teams while ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in BESS, renewables, or grid-connected infra.
• Background in consultancy, contractor, OEM, developer, utility, or owner’s engineer roles.
• Strong knowledge of BESS systems, renewables integration, and grid requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead BESS/grid connection design across project stages (feasibility to detailed design).
• Provide technical leadership, governance, and assurance across MV, HV, and EHV projects.
• Coordinate with global teams, review designer outputs and supplier deliverables.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to standards, tools, and design guidance.
