Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Head of Transmission & Distribution to establish and grow the Philippines-based T&D capability, supporting major international energy projects for UK/global clients. This senior leadership role combines technical authority, department leadership, and delivery oversight.

The role leads capability development across HV/EHV substations, grid connections, protection & control, and related power systems, with responsibility for governance, recruitment, and team development.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
Experience in Transmission & Distribution engineering, HV/EHV substations.
Strong grounding in primary systems with working knowledge of secondary and P&C systems.
Experience delivering projects across concept, FEED, detailed design, and construction support.
Preferred: UK or international T&D project experience; EHV substation knowledge; IEC 61850 familiarity; OEM systems experience.

Responsibilities

Establish and scale AECOM’s Philippines T&D capability in line with pipeline and client demand.
Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team across substations and grid infrastructure.
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, succession planning, and capability mapping.
Develop the local leadership bench as the team grows.
Coordinate resources for efficient delivery and utilisation across projects.
Act as senior technical authority for T&D engineering in the Philippines.
Lead design reviews, governance, and integration with HV equipment and P&C systems.
Oversee deliverables across feasibility to commissioning in international programs.
