Job Description
The Senior Business Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex business and multi-entity income tax returns for a portfolio of the firm's clients, using Lacerte as the primary preparation platform and QuickBooks Online (QBO) as the source of client books. This role owns the accuracy and integrity of business tax filings, supports the resolution of complex tax matters, and mentors junior tax staff. - Work from client books maintained in QuickBooks Online (QBO): review the general ledger, reconcile balances, and translate financials into accurate tax workpapers.
- Review returns prepared by junior tax staff for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Tax Planning & Advisory
- Identify business tax planning opportunities and potential exposures for assigned clients.
- Research and resolve complex tax issues, documenting conclusions clearly.
- Stay current on federal and state tax law changes affecting the business client base.
Client & Engagement Management
