Job summary

MedGrocer is seeking a Senior Systems & AI Solutions Engineer to lead high-level architecture, resilience, and integration of AI and automation for a healthcare platform serving millions of Filipinos.

The role focuses on building production-ready AI systems, enhancing backend performance, and establishing robust SDLC and security practices, with on-site work in Makati City. Extensive AI and systems experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of professional software engineering and systems architecture experience with production ownership.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI models, LLM APIs, and vector search in production environments.
• Deep proficiency in backend architecture, relational/non-relational databases, API design, and automated testing frameworks.
• Ability to work on-site in Makati City.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy production-ready applied AI systems, including RAG pipelines, automated document processing, and triage workflows.
• Audit and refactor critical backend services to reduce latency, eliminate single points of failure, and ensure high availability.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices, integrating modern AI tooling to accelerate development throughput and catch regressions.
• Oversee SDLC with automated CI/CD pipelines, integration testing suites, and high standards for peer reviews.
• Govern cybersecurity and data privacy standards to safeguard patient records and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities
