Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to lead design efforts for residential and light commercial projects. You will perform analyses, prepare reports, and deliver construction documents while coordinating with architects, PMs, and clients.

This role requires US project experience, proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and Revit, and working knowledge of Florida Building Codes and IBC. Hybrid work setup with night shifts offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of structural engineering experience, focusing on wood and masonry.
• Strong AutoCAD 2D proficiency.
• Experience using RISA 3D for analysis and design.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Codes and IBC requirements.
• US project experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of residential and light commercial projects.
• Perform structural analysis and design for wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures (up to three stories).
• Design shallow/spread and deep foundation systems as required.
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, and construction documents.
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD drawings; use Revit where applicable.
• Coordinate with architects, PMs, consultants and clients throughout projects.
• Review specs and drawings to ensure code compliance.
• Respond to RFIs, conduct design reviews, and support site activities.
