Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Structural Engineer – Residential & Light Commercial to lead design efforts for wood, masonry, steel and concrete structures up to three stories. You will perform analysis, prepare documentation, and coordinate with architects and clients to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.

The role requires strong skills in AutoCAD 2D, RISA 3D, and Revit, plus a solid grasp of Florida Building Codes and IBC. Hybrid work setup with night shift options is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of structural engineering experience, primarily with wood and masonry structures.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and structural analysis software (RISA 3D).
• Solid knowledge of Florida Building Codes and International Building Code requirements.
• Experience coordinating with architects, project managers, and clients.
• US project experience is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of single-family residential projects and light commercial work.
• Perform structural analysis and design of wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures up to three stories.
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, and construction documents.
• Develop AutoCAD drawings; use Revit where applicable.
• Coordinate with architects, PMs, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review specifications and drawings to ensure code compliance and project requirements.
• Respond to RFIs, conduct design reviews, support construction activities, and perform site visits as needed.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable Florida Building Codes and IBC.
