Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer/Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will review, edit and produce accurate shop drawings for structural steel fabrication and site erection.

You will interpret drawings, coordinate with engineers and fabricators, and ensure compliance with standards. Tekla proficiency is mandatory, and five years of detailing experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of structural steel detailing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and edit structural steel shop drawings.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and engineering docs.
• Check detailing work for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and coordination issues.
• Ensure drawings are suitable for fabrication and site erection.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators and other stakeholders.
• Manage detailing tasks and deadlines across multiple projects.
• Maintain drawing quality and adhere to standards and procedures.
