Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

A multinational engineering and design firm in Makati City is currently seeking for a Senior Structural Designer as part of its expansion locally:

Work setup-Monday to Friday (usual day shift; permanent)

Duties

• Conceptual design and modelling of brownfield material handling systems, including chutes, launders, bins, conveyors, transfer points, access platforms, steel support structures, and associated civil and structural elements.
• Developing practical design solutions for existing processing plants and mining infrastructure, considering tie-ins, shutdown constraints, site access, maintainability, and constructability.
• Producing detailed layouts, models, and design deliverables for brownfield upgrades, modifications, and replacement works, guided by professional engineers.
• Working with point cloud data, site information, and existing drawings to accurately integrate new designs into operating facilities.
• Supporting the full design lifecycle from concept through to fabrication, installation support, and site implementation.
• Self-managing a small portfolio of brownfield design tasks while coordinating with engineers, fabricators, and project stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

• Ability of working to Australian Standards
• Cutting-edge design skills with the natural ability and initiative to solve problems
• Familiarity with one or more of the following packages: Microstation/Aecosim/Open Buildings Designer Solidworks, AutoCAD, OpenPlant & Isometrics manager, Navisworks, Tekla Structures
• Materials handling or process plant design experience
• Technical experience or exposure in the mining sector
• Previous experience with using point cloud data, is advantageous
