Job summary

BG&E in Manila, Philippines is seeking a Graduate or Structural Engineer to join our Buildings & Structures team. You will work on reinforced concrete and steel building projects, gaining hands-on experience in analysis, modelling, design, and documentation under senior engineers.

This role offers mentoring, exposure to international projects, and opportunities to learn ETABS, SAFE, RAM Concept, and Revit Structure while contributing to commercial, residential, education, and healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• PRC Civil Engineer License.
• 0–2 years of structural engineering experience.
• Interest in structural engineering and building design.
• Exposure to RC/steel design during university or work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural analysis and design of RC and structural steel building structures.
• Develop and review structural models using industry-standard software.
• Support lateral stability analysis for wind and seismic loads.
• Assist in design of reinforced and post-tensioned concrete floor systems.
• Prepare calculations, reports and design documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, drafters, architects and other disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.

We are looking for a Graduate or Structural Engineer who is passionate about building design and eager to develop their technical skills in a professional consulting environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in structural analysis, modelling, design, and documentation while working alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of projects.

You will receive mentoring and technical guidance while contributing to commercial, residential, education, healthcare, industrial, and mixed‑use developments.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and structural steel building structures


• Develop and review structural models using industry-standard software


• Support lateral stability analysis and design for wind and seismic loading


• Assist in the design of reinforced and post-tensioned concrete floor systems


• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and design documentation


• Coordinate with engineers, drafters, architects, and other disciplines


• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions


• Develop practical engineering solutions under the guidance of senior engineers


• Continuously build knowledge of structural engineering principles, software, and design standards

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent from a recognised university.


• PRC Civil Engineer License.


• Experience


• Graduate Engineer or up to 2 years of structural engineering experience.


• Strong interest in structural engineering and building design.


• Exposure to reinforced concrete and/or structural steel design through university or professional experience.


• Technical Skills


• Understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.


• Familiarity with structural analysis and design principles.


• Exposure to ETABS or similar structural analysis software.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
