Job summary

Penbrothers is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale solutions for our global client base. You will collaborate with Sales on pre-sales activities and act as a key escalation point for complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• Must have proven customer-facing experience in professional services, technical, MSP, or software consulting.
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity, computer infrastructure, or software development.
• Strong Windows and Unix/Linux administration, core networking fundamentals, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Ability to lead complex projects and influence decision-making with enterprise-level managers and engineers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

About the Role

The Senior Solutions Consultant provides strategic leadership in designing and implementing solutions for large-scale projects. What You Bring:

• Direct Customer-Facing Experience: Must have a proven track record in a professional services, technical, MSP, or software consulting capacity. This is the primary requirement for staff augmentation.
• Technical Foundations: Several years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, computer infrastructure, or software development.
• Core Systems Knowledge: Competent understanding of Windows and Unix/Linux administration, core networking fundamentals, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Project Leadership: Ability to lead complex projects, drive strategic initiatives, and influence decision-making with enterprise-level managers and engineers.
• Communication: Strong ability to articulate technical solutions clearly, provide expert guidance, and build professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to work effectively with enterprise-level managers and engineers to understand technical requirements, provide recommendations, and deliver tailored solutions.

Nice to Have

• Domain Expertise: Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts, including Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) & Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
• Cloud & Virtualization: Practical experience with Azure or AWS environments.
• Software Delivery & Integration: Familiarity with enterprise API integrations and modern infrastructure tools, including containers, Terraform, Ansible, and Helm charts.
• Relevant Platform Background: Prior experience working for or with Digicert, Venafi, or AppViewX.
• Scripting Proficiency: Experience developing scripts for automation using tools like PowerShell and SQL.

Level of Authority

Independent level of authority to manage projects, make some operational decisions within their area of expertise, and contribute to strategic planning under the guidance of senior management. Expected to exercise sound judgment, take initiative in problem-solving, and have a greater responsibility for the outcomes of their work. While consulting with higher-level management for guidance on complex issues may still be needed, this level is trusted with more significant responsibilities and is expected to contribute actively to the organization's goals and objectives.
