Job summary

Command|Link is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Command|Alert, our signal-processing core. You will own large components end-to-end, from rule evaluation to downstream notification, and mentor peers in a fast-growing, remote-friendly team.

You will tackle reliability, ML-based anomaly scoring, and integration with OpenSearch, Kafka, and OpenTelemetry, shaping our alerting products across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, or operating high-reliability alerting or notification systems in production.
• Strong Kafka experience for producing and consuming event streams for downstream delivery.
• Working telemetry and protocol data knowledge (security tooling output, monitoring telemetry, syslog, OpenTelemetry, NetFlow/sFlow, SNMP).
• Track record owning large components end-to-end and coordinating with engineers to deliver them.

Responsibilities

• Design and own how Command|Alert evaluates rule-based thresholds, ML anomaly scores, and correlation logic to produce high-fidelity alerts.
• Own the reliability of major pieces of the alerting pipeline, from evaluation to downstream delivery.
• Turn telemetry and network data into usable topology and dependency maps for investigations.
• Contribute to groundwork for generating alert definitions from a normalized data model using LLMs.
• Lead production incident responses, post-mortems, and implement long-term fixes.
