Job summary

CommandLink is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own large systems and data pipelines across Go and Python. You will design, implement, and operate backend services at scale for a 100% remote platform serving Fortune 1000 customers.

As a senior IC, you’ll mentor teammates, guide architectural decisions, and drive long-term health of critical components while collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing production reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Deep working knowledge of Go and Python.
• Experience owning systems at scale including monitoring and incident response.
• Designing distributed systems and APIs with reliable data modeling and performance tradeoffs.
• Proven mentoring and technical leadership in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own large components, services, or projects end to end, across teams.
• Design scalable backend solutions with high availability and maintainability.
• Build and evolve services using Go and Python and manage APIs/event pipelines.
• Lead production issue response, post-mortems, and long-term fixes.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and drive architectural discussions.
