Job summary

Hyred is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join its fast-growing fintech team. You will assess SME borrowers, analyze financial statements, and help scale credit processes as the business grows.

You will independently evaluate loan applications, produce clear credit recommendations, and work with Credit and BD teams to improve frameworks. Strong Excel/Sheets skills and a keen eye for risk are essential in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting or similar role.
• Strong experience analysing SME financial statements and bank statements.
• Able to independently assess a borrower and make a clear credit recommendation.
• Strong risk judgment and investigative mindset.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or Python is a plus.
• Comfortable with a fast-changing environment where processes are continuously improved.
• Experience in fintech, SME lending, corporate finance or similar environment is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate SME borrowers and assess loan applications independently.
• Analyse financial statements and bank statements to understand cash flow, repayment capacity and financial risks.
• Identify inconsistencies, concentration risks and early warning signs.
• Prepare clear and concise credit assessments and recommendations.
• Monitor existing borrowers and identify emerging portfolio risks.
• Work closely with Credit and BD teams and challenge assumptions when the numbers don't add up.
• Help improve credit frameworks and processes.
• Look for opportunities to automate repetitive analysis and reporting.
