Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Credit Review Officer to assess and recommend credit decisions across simple to complex proposals for individuals, SMEs, and large corporate borrowers.

You will perform financial analysis, apply credit scoring models, and ensure proposals meet lending standards and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate with Relationship Managers and maintain thorough documentation for audit and review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of credit experience, preferably in commercial and corporate lending.
• Strong analytical skills and adept in reconstruction and interpreting financial statements.
• Ability to identify risks on the borrower and credit proposals.
• Strong work ethic and integrity; effective communicator with strong presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Completion of reports related to the handled credit portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend credit decisions for simple to complex proposals.
• Ensure credit proposals are complete, well-documented, and timely.
• Provide accurate evaluations of credit applications to minimize default risk.
• Validate data and support sound credit decisions with financial analysis.
• Prepare ERCA for onboarding and renewals per policy and SLA timelines.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to gather borrower documents and ensure file completeness.
• Monitor accounts and flag early warning signals; maintain records of work metrics.
