Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Cebu City is seeking an administrative professional to complete the daily processing of Sea Freight shipments, documentation, and related requirements. You will support the National Seafreight Import Desk of Australia and ensure high compliance with Australian guidelines.

Key tasks include ensuring accurate data entry, coordinating with shipping lines, and driving timely declarations while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external brokers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business, IT, engineering, finance, economics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Sea Logistics, Finance, IT, or a similar environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Good understanding of international geography and global trade flows.
• Strong analytical and process improvement skills.
• Organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and leadership potential.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on Philippine public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Sea Cargo Automation reporting, completeness, and accuracy, and timely declaration of import cargo to Australian Customs.
• Validates critical fields in shipping documents and carrier data.
• Cross-checks ICS gateway site to match Sea Cargo Report lodgment.
• Monitors SALOG BPA tasks and coordinates with Manage Service for timely creation.
• Initiates calls/meetings with shipping lines to speed up declarations.
• Ensures Sea Cargo Automation reporting is triggered at least 48 hours before port arrival to Australia.
• Addresses SCA rejections and provides necessary documents.
• Coordinates with shipping lines regarding bonded cargo and SALOG clearance.
• Updates sailing schedules and routing with 1-STOP and other sources.
• Provides Arrival Notice or Broker Advise documents to external brokers.
• Investigates Sea Cargo issues via RT queue and email until lodgment is cleared.
• Performs root cause analysis on recurring SCA issues and implements long-term fixes.
• Collaborates with AU counterparts and other departments to deliver high service levels.
• Seeks continuous improvement and maintains current work instructions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
