Unitan Construction And Development Corporation is seeking a Safety Officer III to oversee and enforce occupational health and safety policies across manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial settings. You will promote a culture of safety and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a strong foundation in OHS regulations, risk assessment, incident investigation, and training delivery. You will contribute to CAPA implementation, maintain records, and support emergency planning and drills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field or equivalent.
Experience in manufacturing/fabrication/industrial settings.
Strong knowledge of OHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
Experience with risk assessment and incident investigations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficient in MS Office and SMS.
Professional certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

Conduct regular inspections and audits of work areas, equipment, and processes to identify and mitigate hazards.
Ensure compliance with DOLE, ISO, and applicable health and safety regulations.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement CAPA actions.
Prepare and maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and related documentation.
Develop and update safety procedures, JHAs, and risk assessments.
Facilitate safety training programs, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns.
Monitor PPE usage and proper application.
Participate in safety committees and coordinate with other departments to resolve concerns.
Supervise or mentor junior safety staff as needed.
Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
