Fabtech Export Industries, Inc. seeks a Safety Officer 2/3 to help implement and monitor the OSH program, ensuring a safe working environment. You will support project management, conduct inspections, promote safety awareness, and ensure regulatory compliance across sites.

The role requires coordinating with supervisors and workers, maintaining safety records, and leading toolbox talks and orientations for employees and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing OSH programs and enforcing safety rules.
• Ability to conduct inspections and identify hazards.
• Familiarity with incident investigations and safety reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the OSH program across sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.

About the role

The Safety Officer 2 (SO2)/ Safety Officer 3 (SO3) is responsible for assisting in the implementation and monitoring of the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. The position supports project management in enforcing safety regulations, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards
• Monitor compliance with safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety requirements
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety orientations for employees and subcontractors
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Assist in hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of corrective actions
• Monitor work activities such as welding, cutting, lifting operations, work at height, and other high-risk tasks
• Participate in incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and assist in preparing reports
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, and other safety documentation
• Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and workers regarding safety concerns and corrective actions
