Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel in Manila seeks a senior developer to design and support Sabre scripting and Sabre Red apps. You will convert legacy Sabre Scribe code to modern Sabre Red TypeScript apps, build API integrations, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize travel workflows.

You’ll use AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, respond to support requests, and coordinate testing with stakeholders. Strong English and US-hours flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in travel industry, preferably in an agency or corporate travel management.
• 2+ years building or maintaining Sabre Scribe or Sabre Red apps (TypeScript).
• 3+ years hands-on Sabre GDS experience.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript for modern web apps.
• Experience with travel reservation workflows and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Flexibility to work around US business hours.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality.
• Experience modernizing legacy travel systems.
• Proficiency with Outlook/Office tools and Jira/FreshService.

Responsibilities

• Create and update Sabre scripts and Sabre Red apps as assigned.
• Convert legacy Sabre Scribe code to modern Sabre Red TypeScript apps.
• Design and implement API integrations to enhance Sabre Red features.
• Leverage AI tools to speed development and improve quality.
• Respond to internal support tickets and change requests.
• Coordinate implementation and testing with stakeholders.
• Test and document application functionality for maintainability.
• Manage product support for defects and issues.
• Maintain understanding of Travel Consultant workflows and tools.
• Monitor potential roadblocks and technical challenges.
