Thunes in Manila is seeking a General Accountant reporting to the Head of Finance Operations. The role provides general accounting and internal control support, including journal entries, balance sheet maintenance, and month-end closing.

You will ensure accuracy across the general ledger, inventories, fixed assets, intercompany accounts and bank reconciliations, while supporting reporting and audits. CPA and 5–7 years RTR experience are preferred, with NetSuite/Oracle and Excel competency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• CPA is required.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in Record-to-Report or General Accounting.
• Strong expertise in RTR sub-processes.
• Experience reviewing journal entries and complex reconciliations.
• Hands-on exposure to month-end and year-end close processes.
• Proficiency in multi-currency reconciliations.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• ERP systems knowledge: NetSuite, Oracle; CRM: Salesforce.
• Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Responsabilités

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and reports ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
• Execute month-end and year-end close activities and group consolidation.
• Serve as SME for finance processes (GL, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Close & Reporting).
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies; support process improvements and standardization.
• Ensure strong internal control compliance and assist remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Support audits by providing explanations and documentation.
• Participate in system enhancements, migrations, testing, and special projects.
