Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a senior raw material trader to develop and execute a commercial strategy across African markets. You will leverage an existing client base to generate immediate trading volume and revenue.

The role requires at least 10 years in raw material trading (pig iron, iron ore, scrap), plus a proven ability to build and lead high-performing trading teams and take full P&L responsibility. Reporting to the trade director will shape the regional growth trajectory.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in raw material trading (pig iron, iron ore, scrap).
Established and transferable portfolio of clients and suppliers.
Deep understanding of the African raw materials market and trading dynamics.
Proven ability to independently build and grow a business unit from inception.
Experience in building and managing high-performing trading teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a commercial strategy for raw materials trading in African markets.
Leverage an existing client base to generate immediate trading volume and revenue.
Build and manage a trading team to support regional business development.
Take full responsibility for the region’s P&L, reporting directly to senior executive management.
Role reports to trade director.
