Job summary

Booth & Partners seeks a Senior QA Engineer to drive quality assurance as an embedded member of our software team. You will design robust QA processes, extend automated test suites, and promote test-driven development across the dealership platform.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to clarify ticket intent, flag issues early, and ensure scalable QA practices in a dynamic SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software QA development experience with hands-on test suite creation and modification.
• Experience with Ruby, PostgreSQL, and modern CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
• Strong hands-on experience with web automation frameworks; Playwright experience is strongly preferred (Puppeteer or similar frameworks welcome).
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex test logic, multi-step state setups, and edge-case scenario creation (e.g., dynamic calculation/e-commerce workflows).
• Experience across API, integration, database, visual, performance, and load testing.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to advocate for quality within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and document clear, comprehensive test plans and manual test cases.
• Maintain, modify, and extend existing automated test suites and handle complex test state setups.
• Actively participate in daily stand-ups and sprint meetings, clarify requirements, and communicate test reasoning.
• Evaluate tickets for overall intent to catch edge cases early in development.
• Provide insights on QA tools, architecture, and framework enhancements for scalability.
