Anthesis Group in the Philippines seeks a Senior QA Engineer (Automation) to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for proprietary software, ensuring high quality delivery.

You will lead manual and automated testing (UI, API, load), mentor junior staff, participate in Scrum events, and help improve testing processes, tooling, and documentation. The role requires self‑organization, strong technical expertise, and a focus on quality in complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
• Advanced knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum with cross-functional collaboration.
• Extensive API testing (RESTful, SOAP), UI/UX, regression, cross-browser testing; proficient in Jira, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, XRay.
• Experience creating and managing automation frameworks using Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
• Strong knowledge of Git and bug tracking systems; familiarity with Bugzilla.
• Basic SQL for backend validation; scripting with Shell/PowerShell/Python.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Execution: plan, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Lead manual test case creation for functional, UI/UX, API, regression, and compatibility testing.
• Conduct UI, load, integration, regression, and API endpoint testing for thorough evaluation.
• Collaboration: analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and prioritize testing efforts.
• Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Testing Automation and Process Improvement: automate tests and maintain best practices.
• Defect Management: report, track, and assist with debugging and troubleshooting.
• Ticket Management & Documentation: prioritize tickets with Product Owners; manage Jira; document testing efforts.
• Support & Mentoring: provide guidance to junior team members and assist with DevOps/helpdesk tasks.
