You will lead manual and automated testing (UI, API, load), mentor junior staff, participate in Scrum events, and help improve testing processes, tooling, and documentation. The role requires self‑organization, strong technical expertise, and a focus on quality in complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
• Advanced knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum with cross-functional collaboration.
• Extensive API testing (RESTful, SOAP), UI/UX, regression, cross-browser testing; proficient in Jira, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, XRay.
• Experience creating and managing automation frameworks using Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
• Strong knowledge of Git and bug tracking systems; familiarity with Bugzilla.
• Basic SQL for backend validation; scripting with Shell/PowerShell/Python.

The focus is on ensuring adherence to best practices and driving continuous improvement in testing methodologies. Additionally, the Senior QA Engineer (Automation) provides guidance to junior team members as needed, leveraging strong technical expertise and a hands‑on approach to testing and defect management. Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution

• Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure product quality.
• Lead the definition, creation, and execution of manual test cases for functional, UI/UX, API, regression, and compatibility testing.
• Conduct various types of testing, including UI, load, integration, regression, and API endpoint testing, ensuring a thorough evaluation of software.

Collaboration and Requirement Analysis

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and prioritize testing efforts.
• Actively participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives to ensure alignment with team goals.
• Analyze user stories and use cases for validity and feasibility, providing feedback to enhance testing coverage.

Testing Automation and Process Improvement

• Automate tests where possible to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain best practices and processes to enhance testing methodologies.

Defect Management and Troubleshooting

• Report and track defects using bug tracking tools and assist with debugging and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects efficiently.

Ticket Management and Documentation

• Manage testing priorities by coordinating with Product Owners to prioritize testing tickets based on project requirements.
• Oversee Jira maintenance, ensuring accurate tracking of testing progress, results, and defects.
• Provide detailed documentation to support testing efforts and assist in project management.

Support and Mentoring

• Offer operational support, including DevOps and helpdesk assistance as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and skill development.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• With 5+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing. Technical Expertise

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes with experience in crossfunctional team collaboration.

Proficiency in testing tools such as XRay, Postman, JMeter, Selenium, and Jira. Experience in creating and managing automation frameworks using languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
