Job summary

CodeRoad seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own the quality strategy and automated testing framework for mission-critical applications. You will build scalable test suites across API, Web, and Mobile layers with an autonomous mindset to reduce manual testing and drive a quality-first culture.

You will mentor engineers, define acceptance criteria, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid releases in a 100% remote, nearshore/offshore startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on automation.
• Advanced proficiency with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Deep experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and maintenance of automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium).
• Build and evolve comprehensive test suites for APIs and frontends.
• Integrate automated tests into deployment pipelines for continuous testing and rapid releases.
• Define acceptance criteria and identify risks early in the lifecycle with product teams.
• Mentor L1/L2 QA engineers and elevate team quality standards.
