BairesDev is seeking a QA Lead to own the QA lifecycle, define the test strategy, and drive quality across UI, API, and performance layers. This remote-first role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership and strategic oversight.

You will mentor QA engineers, manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle, and collaborate with product and engineering leaders to embed quality early in development. Excellent compensation in USD or local currency, with flexible, remote-enabled setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Experience designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Strong proficiency in multi-layer testing across UI, API, and performance.
• Proven ability to lead QA teams and manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the overarching test strategy to ensure consistent quality standards across UI, API, and performance layers.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
• Oversee the end-to-end defect management process, collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize fixes based on business impact and technical risk.
• Implement risk-based testing methodologies to optimize resource allocation and focus efforts on critical system components.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to integrate quality best practices early in the development lifecycle.
