Job summary

MicroSourcing in Cebu, Philippines is seeking a Senior QA Analyst for Web & Automation to lead end-to-end testing across UI, API, and data layers, and to QA AI-driven features.

You will build automation with Playwright/pytest, investigate defects, and leverage AI tools to speed up testing while ensuring data privacy and reliability.

Qualifications

• Production web app QA/testing experience with exploratory and regression testing.
• Tests across UI, API, database, queues, not browser-only testing.
• Experience inspecting HTTP/API requests, status codes, and logs.
• Proven test automation experience with Playwright or pytest.
• Strong attention to data quality, privacy, and failure handling in web apps.
• Proficiency using AI tools to accelerate QA testing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end functional, exploratory, and regression testing across web UI, APIs, databases, and asynchronous backend systems.
• Validate AI agent behaviors, non-deterministic workflows, and background job states.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, pytest, or suitable API testing tools.
• Investigate defects using browser dev tools, HTTP payloads, database queries, and application logs.
• Leverage AI-native tools to generate test matrices, draft automation scripts, and accelerate root-cause analysis.

Your Role

• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, pytest, or fit-for-purpose API testing tools.
• Investigate system defects using browser dev tools, HTTP payloads, database queries, and application logs to produce actionable bug reports.
• Leverage AI-native tools (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) to generate test matrices, draft automation scripts, and accelerate root-cause analysis.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Professional QA/testing experience on production web applications with strong exploratory and regression testing capabilities.
• Ability to test across full-stack layers (UI, API, database, queues) rather than browser-only manual testing.
• Practical experience inspecting HTTP/API requests, status codes, and reading basic application logs.
• Proven test automation experience (or demonstrated ability to build automated checks using Playwright, pytest, or similar tools).
• Strong attention to data quality, privacy, permissions, and failure handling in a web software environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency using modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor) to multiply QA testing speed and automation coverage.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience testing asynchronous, event-driven, or queue-based systems (SQS, Redis, webhooks, background jobs).
• Hands-on Playwright test automation experience and debugging flaky tests.
• SQL proficiency to directly query and validate data states in relational databases.
• Background in healthcare software testing or privacy-sensitive web applications.
