Job summary

MicroSourcing in Cebu, Philippines is seeking a QA Tester – Agentic Web Application to perform end-to-end testing across UI, APIs, and databases. The role is onsite with night shift, offering competitive rewards and a focus on quality.

You will build automated tests with Playwright and pytest, investigate defects, and apply AI tools to enhance coverage. The ideal candidate has strong exploratory and regression testing skills and a passion for quality and growth.

Qualifications

• Professional QA/testing experience on production web applications with exploratory and regression testing.
• Ability to test across UI, API, database, and queues, not just browser testing.
• Experience inspecting HTTP/API requests, status codes, and application logs.
• Proven test automation experience with Playwright or pytest.
• Strong data quality, privacy, and failure handling awareness in web apps.
• Proficiency using modern AI tools to boost QA speed and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end functional, exploratory, and regression testing across web UI, APIs, databases, and async backend systems.
• Validate AI agent behaviors and non-deterministic workflows in realistic scenarios.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, pytest, or suitable tools.

Your Role

As a QA Tester – Agentic Web Application, you will:

• Execute end-to-end functional, exploratory, and regression testing across web UI, APIs, databases, and asynchronous backend systems.
• Validate complex AI agent behaviors, non-deterministic workflows, and background job states across realistic operational scenarios.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, pytest, or fit-for-purpose API testing tools.
• Investigate system defects using browser dev tools, HTTP payloads, database queries, and application logs to produce actionable bug reports.
• Leverage AI-native tools (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) to generate test matrices, draft automation scripts, and accelerate root-cause analysis.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Professional QA/testing experience on production web applications with strong exploratory and regression testing capabilities.
• Ability to test across full-stack layers (UI, API, database, queues) rather than browser-only manual testing.
• Practical experience inspecting HTTP/API requests, status codes, and reading basic application logs.
• Proven test automation experience (or demonstrated ability to build automated checks using Playwright, pytest, or similar tools).
• Strong attention to data quality, privacy, permissions, and failure handling in a web software environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency using modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor) to multiply QA testing speed and automation coverage.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience testing asynchronous, event-driven, or queue-based systems (SQS, Redis, webhooks, background jobs).
• Hands-on Playwright test automation experience and debugging flaky tests.
• SQL proficiency to directly query and validate data states in relational databases.
• Background in healthcare software testing or privacy-sensitive web applications.
