Job summary

PM Consulting is seeking a Senior Purchasing Planner to manage procurement planning, material scheduling, supplier coordination, and inventory optimization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role ensures uninterrupted material availability to support production while driving cost savings and process improvements.

The ideal candidate comes from a discrete industrial/engineering/manufacturing setting with strong MRP planning, blanket purchase orders, and supplier management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 5-10 years in purchasing, supply chain, material planning, or production planning in discrete manufacturing.
• Experience reading blueprints, Gerber files, and engineering specs.
• Knowledge of Min/Max, reorder points, and safety stock.
• Experience with local/regional sourcing and supplier management.
• Understanding Incoterms and global supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with PEZA regulations and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage blanket purchase orders and supplier agreements with scheduling.
• Release POs and coordinate with suppliers on delivery and continuity.
• Source direct and indirect materials with price/quality delivery focus.
• Read blueprints and technical docs to inform purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, warehouse, and customer service to align material plans.
• Implement inventory optimization and working capital improvements.
