Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Planner to own the master production schedule (MPS) for a complex product line. This role drives S&OP, collaborates across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, and optimizes capacity and inventory through advanced planning systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in master scheduling or production planning, strong ERP/APS skills, and a track record of continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM/Operations/Engineering/Business Admin or related field.
• 5+ years in master scheduling, production planning, or supply chain planning; lead/senior level preferred.
• Experience developing/managing MPS and participating in S&OP.
• Strong ERP (SAP/Oracle) and APS skills.
• Understanding production processes, capacity and inventory management.
• Certifications (APICS CSCP/CPIM) desirable.

Job Summary

The Senior Operations Planner is an experienced professional who applies comprehensive knowledge to own and manage the supply plan for a complex product line or factory area. This role is a key driver of the master production schedule, leading the analysis of capacity and materials to create an optimized plan. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Planner is a key interface between the master schedule and factory execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the master production schedule (MPS) to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize inventory levels.
• Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for your area, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to translate business plans into feasible production schedules.
• Analyze demand forecasts, historical data, and capacity constraints to create realistic and achievable production plans.
• Monitor production performance against the master schedule, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Work closely with production, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve material shortages, capacity bottlenecks, and other scheduling conflicts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in master scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling adherence, on-time delivery, and inventory turns.
• Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall supply chain responsiveness and operational efficiency.
• Utilize advanced planning systems (e.g., ERP, APS) to optimize scheduling decisions and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in master scheduling, production planning, or supply chain planning, with some experience in a lead or senior capacity, preferably within a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
• Proven expertise in developing and managing master production schedules and participating in S&OP processes.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning systems (APS).
• Excellent understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex global environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM) are highly desirable.
