Senior Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, and overall management of assigned properties. This role ensures properties are well-maintained, fully leased, and compliant with company policies and local regulations while maximizing profitability and tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Property Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties
- Ensure properties are properly maintained and meet safety standards
- Conduct regular property inspections
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors
2. Financial Management
- Prepare and manage annual budgets
- Monitor income, expenses, and financial performance
- Approve invoices and control operating costs
- Prepare financial and performance reports for owners or senior management
3. Leasing & Tenant Relations
- Oversee leasing activities and occupancy levels
- Review and approve lease agreements
- Address tenant concerns and resolve escalated issues
- Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction and retention
4. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage property insurance and risk mitigation strategies
- Oversee contract negotiations with vendors
5. Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise property managers, leasing staff, and maintenance personnel
- Provide training and performance evaluations
- Implement company policies and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in property management
- Strong financial and budgeting skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Knowledge of property management software
