Job summary

Archipelago Builders Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the project from planning through construction and post-construction reporting. You will review plans, handle RFIs/RFAs, prepare shop drawings, and manage procurement schedules on site in Paranaque City.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical and communication abilities. Immediate start, full-time with complete Government Benefits and Health Care Plan.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Licensed is a plus.
• With 2-3 years of relevant working experience in the related field is required.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.

• Willing to relocate within Paranaque City; able to commute or relocate near Paranaque City (Gold Residences).

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction / planning: reviews plans, resolves conflicts via RFIs/RFAs, prepares shop drawings and procurement look-ahead schedules.
• Construction: attends toolbox meetings, deploys manpower, supervises on-site work.
• Post Construction: daily monitoring updates, weekly reports to AB Corp. head office and client.
• Documentation: maintains daily logbook, processes IWRs, evaluates subcontractor billing with QS.
• Qualifications: looks ahead three months and coordinates with consultants and clients.

Job description

The Senior Project Engineer is the overall in-charge of tasks below:

PRECONSTRUCTION / PLANNING

• Reviews plans and specifications to resolve possible conflicts in advance through Request Form for Information (RFI) and Request Form for Approval (RFA).
• Determines variation between bid plans and for construction drawings and informs immediate head for claiming Variation Order to the clients
• Prepares shop drawings for submission to consultants prior to purchasing and execution at site
• Prepares quantity take off upon awarding of project.
• Prepares material look ahead schedule to be updated on a monthly basis. (3 months look ahead).
• Prepares detailed procurement schedule.

CONSTRUCTION

• Attends and facilitates tool box meeting.
• Deploys and orients manpower assigned for their daily targets and schedules.
• Supervises overall work at site

POST CONSTRUCTION

• Updates monitoring on a daily basis particularly manpower, daily consumption, stocks inventory and issues encountered.
• Prepares Weekly Report to be submitted to AB Corp. head office and client

DOCUMENTATIONS

• Prepares Inspection Work Request (IWR) two days prior to commencement of activity.
• Maintains daily logbook using the provided format (Daily manpower monitoring, Daily consumption monitoring, issues and concerns)
• Evaluates subcontractor's billing to be submitted to the Quantity Surveyor within the agreed deadline.
• Preparation of three months look ahead schedule
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Licensed is a plus;
• With 2-3 years of relevant working experience in the related field is required for this position;
• With strong analytical, communication, presentation skills as well as an eye for detail;
• Results-oriented, team-player with strong interpersonal skills;
• Willing to be assigned/relocate within Paranaque City;
• Amenable to commute / relocate, living near or within Paranaque City (Gold Residences);

Archipelago Builders Corporation

The company was established in 1965, engaging in General Building Construction under the name Archipelago Builders. The office started from renting a room of a building at Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila and the Warehouse / Steel Shop were located at Old Samson Road, Balintawak, Quezon City.

Started with a Building Contractor-Category “C” by Professional Regulations Commission, it was later recognized as a General Building Contractor-Class “B”. In the year 1975-1976 the company doubled its personnel, rented another three (3) rooms in the same building and added another three (3) compartment warehouses and steel shop for its expanded operations for both public and private sectors. In 1977, the company was recognized as a General Engineering and General Building-Category “A”, engaged in both horizontal and vertical construction.

In 1979, Archipelago Builders started construction of its own three and a one half (3 -1/2) storey building at No.29 North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, to house its main office and diversified businesses like the restaurant, construction supply and real state.

In 1987, as the company continued to grow, the category “A” further upgraded to Category ’AA’

In 1998, the year of economic crisis, inflation and political strife in the country, fortunately, Archipelago Builders was awarded quite a number of projects in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon and Visayas. Because of this, Archipelago Builders was finally upgraded to Category ‘AAA’.

Today, after many years of construction experience, Archipelago Builders aims to further develop the quality of construction and help build future for this country. This is our vision and mission.
