Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is seeking a Server Engineer on shift to own the production server estate across compute, virtualization and storage layers. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, automation, and strict adherence to change management.

You will operate primarily via remote tooling while coordinating with on-site staff for physical tasks. The ideal candidate has 24/7 shift experience, understands incident response, and can implement IaC with Ansible, Terraform and Python.

Qualifications

• Experience in 24/7 shift-based operations for mission-critical platforms.
• Automation and infrastructure-as-code workflows using Ansible, Terraform and Python.
• Ability to operate remote management tools (iDRAC, iLO, BMC) and hypervisors.

Responsibilities

• Around-the-Clock ownership of the production server estate during shifts across hardware, hypervisor and storage layers.
• Perform daily operations, provisioning, patching, firmware updates and VM lifecycle tasks within change processes.
• Operate platforms via remote tooling and coordinate with on-site data centre staff as needed.
• Maintain backup services, monitoring, retention, and regular restore testing.
• Plan and verify maintenance windows with pre-checks, rollback plans and post-change validation.
