Job summary

DysrupIT in the Philippines seeks an Infrastructure & Platform Operations Engineer to support, maintain and improve production platforms and enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments. The role focuses on BAU production support, service stability and knowledge transfer.

You will work with AWS, Linux, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker and Kubernetes, handling incidents, changes and deployments, with opportunities to contribute to automation, platform upgrades and resilience

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform operations, systems engineering or production support.
• Strong BAU and production support experience with incident ownership and root-cause analysis.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments; AWS is the primary cloud requirement.
• Very strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience (Ubuntu/Red Hat).
• Deep networking troubleshooting across TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls and cloud networking.
• Strong MongoDB production administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Meaningful PostgreSQL operational experience including backup and recovery and monitoring.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes with container lifecycle, networking and health checks.
• Scripting and automation capability in Python and/or PowerShell; Bash is valuable.
• Strong monitoring and observability fundamentals; clear incident and change documentation.
• Experience with Git and GitHub; ability to maintain runbooks and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of Service Operations to support enterprise infrastructure and production platforms, including health monitoring and issue resolution.
• Administer, support and troubleshoot customer environments, including core infra, storage, networking, IAM awareness and compute resources.
• Support Linux environments (Ubuntu and Red Hat) with command-line administration; Windows support where required.
• Diagnose complex network issues across TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, TLS, proxies and cloud networking.
• Administer PostgreSQL production environments: config, roles, backups, restore, recovery and upgrades.
• Administer MongoDB production environments: health, backups, upgrades, troubleshooting.
• Support Docker and Kubernetes containerised environments: lifecycle, logs, networking and health checks.
• Support cloud container services (AWS with EKS/ECS) and contribute to platform health and capacity management.
• Monitor infrastructure with enterprise tools; investigate alerts and perform root-cause analysis.
• Create automation scripts in Python/PowerShell to reduce manual tasks; Git/GitHub for version control.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Data Services and other teams to resolve issues and deliver platform outcomes.
