Job summary

NetApp Instaclustr in the Philippines seeks an experienced software engineer to help build and operate a scalable open-source platform. You will work with a small team to ensure reliable production systems across distributed environments.

You will own the full development lifecycle—from requirements and design to testing and deployment—while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product and operations teams in a 24x7 DevOps setting.

Qualifications

• 8 or more years of commercial experience delivering quality software.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex technical solutions.
• Proficiency in Java, SQL and at least one other modern programming language.
• Strong communication skills and a humble and collaborative nature.
• A curious mindset with a keen interest in how work impacts customers.
• Eagerness to tackle new challenges and grow your team’s software engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Work within a development team of 3-8 engineers to build, maintain, and enhance our open-source application platform, handling provisioning, installation, and production reliability.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the development lifecycle from requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment to production.
• Lead the design and implementation of more complex development initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers within the team to grow their skills.
• Collaborate with other development teams, operations, and product managers to solve complex problems.
• Apply DevOps best practices as part of a 24x7 global team.
