Job summary

THES-PRO SOLUTIONS INC is seeking a seasoned Construction Planning Specialist to lead the development and management of Master, Design, Submission, Tendering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning programmes. You will monitor progress, conduct critical path analysis and support schedule risk management for projects with the Hong Kong team.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 6–8 years in construction planning for building or civil works, and proficiency in Primavera P6, MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in construction planning for building or civil projects in Contractor or Subcontractor.
• Understand construction scopes, production rates, resources and sequences across project phases.
• Proficient in Primavera P6.
• Fluent English communication and presentation skills.
• Chartered qualifications are an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office and Microsoft Project is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Master Programme, Design Programme, Submission Programme, Tendering Programme, Procurement Programme, Construction Programme and Commissioning Programme.
• Provide detailed review, analysis and monitoring of all programme types.
• Coordinate with Hong Kong team and project team to monitor/review works programmes.
• Provide inputs, graphs and critical path analysis on monthly/weekly progress reports.
• Report risks and mitigation strategies to Technical Manager to meet completion dates.
• Review actual progress against programme across project phases.
• Attend meetings/workshops with Hong Kong project team to track progress.
• Conduct routine evaluations on progress and coordinate with HK project team for schedule risk analysis and evaluation.
• Provide support in evaluating EOT and claim assessments.

About the role

This is a construction planning role focused on leading the development and management of various programmes across project phases, from design through commissioning. You will work closely with project teams to monitor progress, analyse critical paths, and support schedule risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of various programmes, including Master Programme, Design Programme, Submission Programme, Tendering Programme, Procurement Programme, Construction Programme and Commissioning Programme

• Provide detailed review, analysis and monitoring of the master, design, submission, tendering, procurement, construction and commissioning programmes

• Work closely on a day-to-day basis with the Hong Kong team Technical and General Managers or the project team to monitor and/or review the programmes of Works

• Provide inputs, graphs and critical path analysis on the monthly and weekly progress reports

• Report to the Technical Manager on any risks, opportunities and any mitigation strategies to maintain the project completion date

• Review actual progress against the programme during different project phases and report to the Technical Manager

• Attend meetings and convene workshops with the Hong Kong project team as necessary to get snap-shots on time and keeping an update on actual progress on site

• Conduct routine evaluation on progress against the programme and coordinate with the HK project team for schedule risk analysis and evaluation

• Provide support in evaluating any EOT and claim assessments

About you

• Bachelor degree holder in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in construction planning discipline for building or civil projects in Contractor or Subcontractor

• Understand various construction works related scopes, production rates, resources assigned for various type of construction activities, and logics of construction sequences and methodologies among different project phases

• Proficient in Primavera P6

• Fluent interpersonal communication and presentation skills in English

• Professional qualification with chartered certificates is an advantage

• Proficient in MS office application and Microsoft Project is an advantage
