Job summary

National Grid Corporation is seeking a Security Manager to plan and implement protective security measures across district, substation and related facilities. The role requires coordinating with the Security Manager’s guidance and ensuring procedures are followed.

Qualified candidates hold a related bachelor’s degree, are licensed drivers, and possess security certification and firearm documentation (LOTPF/PTCFOR). LE SP is required for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Licensed Driver; Certified Security Professional; Licensed firearm ownership with LOTPF/PTCFOR; LESP license.

Responsibilities

• Implements security plans and protective designs for assets within district, substation and facilities.
• Monitors access control, vehicle control, and materials protection procedures.
• Collects and reports security-related information for substations and transmission lines; proposes actions.
• Investigates security breaches and submits findings and recommendations to management.
• Supervises contracted security services and evaluates their performance; reports to management.
• Oversees transmission line inspections by anti-pilferage personnel and documents deficiencies.
• Coordinates with law enforcement on security matters; liaises with support/technical facilities heads.
