Outstaffer.com is seeking a dedicated professional to manage migration matters end-to-end for an Australian practice. You will prepare and progress visa applications across several categories and collaborate with Registered Migration Agents to ensure files are complete and review-ready.
You will handle client communications, ensure consistency across sponsorships and visas, and perform rigorous quality control before practitioner review.
About the role
This is a genuine ownership role managing allocated migration matters end-to-end within a well-established Australian migration practice. You will drive the day-to-day preparation and progression of migration matters, working closely with and under the supervision of Registered Migration Agents. You'll be trusted with a portfolio of matters, know exactly what's outstanding and what's next, and ensure every file that reaches the practitioner is organised, consistent and ready for efficient review.
Key responsibilities
Manage allocated migration matters end-to-end — from opening new files through to lodgement and post-lodgement follow-up
Prepare visa applications across categories such as employer-sponsored (482, 186, 494), partner, student, visitor and skilled migration visas
Support employer-sponsored and nomination matters, ensuring consistency across sponsorship, nomination and visa components
Prepare partner and family migration evidence, including relationship chronologies and draft statutory declarations
Maintain proactive client communication — chasing documents, providing updates, and knowing exactly when to escalate a substantive question to the supervising practitioner
Run quality control on every file before it reaches the practitioner: checking completeness, consistency, and flagging outstanding issues clearly
About you
Substantial case-management, paralegal or comparable professional experience
Excellent written and spoken English, with exceptional attention to detail
Strong document-management and analytical skills, with the ability to spot inconsistencies across large volumes of information
Confidence managing multiple matters and deadlines independently
Sound judgement about when to escalate — you understand the line between case management and legal advice
Previous experience with an Australian migration agency, immigration law firm, or offshore team supporting Australian migration professionals — particularly with employer-sponsored (482/186) matters or ImmiAccount and similar case-management systems
A legal, paralegal, or business qualification is a plus, but hands-on Australian migration case-management experience will be valued just as highly
