Job summary

NYGC Services INC is seeking a Senior OS Administrator to join our on-site team in Alabang Muntinlupa for a contract period of six months with possible extension. The role requires deep expertise in Linux systems, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization, and security hardening.

You will be responsible for provisioning, operating system management, automation with Ansible, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure high availability and performance of enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years infrastructure experience, with 7+ years on Linux
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294) and RH403
• AZ-104 and AZ-305 certifications preferred
• Expertise in Linux engineering: install, configure, patch, troubleshoot, performance, storage, networking, security hardening, recovery
• Advanced shell scripting and automation, virtualization, and cloud (Azure/AWS)
• Ability to lead project and service delivery, mentor admins, and manage stakeholders
• Prefer advanced Red Hat and Azure/AWS certifications

Responsibilities

Job Description

PRIMARY TECHNICAL ABILITIES

Technical or professional know-how acquired through eight (8) year and up years experience and training in area of

specialization:

• Managing services and startup,
• Provisioning, Troubleshoot operating systems (physical or virtual)
• Configuring network,
• Managing RPM packets,
• Performance analysis (on a physical server or virtual server platform),
• Managing disk volumes in a SAN environment using dm-multipath and LVM
• Tuning system & kernel
• Managing users and security
• OS Hardening
• Basic Shell scripting (bash, awk, sed, perl)
• Base Knowledge in automation thru Ansible, Python and other programming language supported by Linux OS
• Management of system services: printing, FTP, NFS, CIFS, syslog, SNMP, etc.

Proficient in architecting and supporting enterprise-grade cloud solutions across AWS and Azure, including computer, networking, storage, identity management, monitoring, and disaster recovery services. Skilled in driving cloud adoption, governance, cost optimization, and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and business resilience.

• Monitoring security alerts and bug reports from the editor and planning for patching of operating systems
• SECONDARY TECHNICAL ABILITIES:
• Cloud infrastructure exposure using Azure priority and AWS.
• Storage experience and VMware experience.
• Knowledge in ITIL framework.

BEHAVIOR/TECHNICAL ABILITIES

1. 8 years experience in Infrastructure, with 7 years and up experience specifically on Linux operating systems
2. Completed Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294) and Red Hat Satellite 6 Administration | RH403 training.
3. Completed AZ-104 andAZ-305 training.
4. Technical mastery of enterprise Linux engineering, installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance,
5. storage, networking, backup, security hardening, recovery, and lifecycle management.
6. Advanced capability in shell scripting, automation or configuration management, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure such as Azure or AWS.
7. Demonstrated ability to solve non-recurring or rapidly changing problems and develop new concepts, procedures, and imaginative technical approaches.
8. Ability to functionally supervise varied activities, coordinate related staff, mentor administrators, and lead substantial
9. project and service delivery work.
10. Strong stakeholder management, influencing, motivating, negotiation, documentation, and customer service skills for internal and external engagement.
11. Relevant Linux, cloud, automation, security, or IT service management certifications are preferred; advanced Red Hat and Azure or AWS certifications are advantageous.
