Kake is a remote-first company with a people-first global community of senior engineers. We seek Senior Software Engineers skilled in Node.js/React to own high-performance, scalable systems for millions of users.

You will build end-to-end features, design APIs, and make architectural decisions across stack while collaborating with product and design in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with Node.js and React.
• Experience designing and versioning REST or GraphQL APIs.
• CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure) experience.
• Strong system-design, data modelling and event-driven thinking.
• Proficiency with relational databases and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• Excellent English communication and remote-work capability.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production features end-to-end across Node.js backends and React frontends.
• Design and version REST or GraphQL APIs as the contract between frontend and backend.
• Make architecture decisions around data modelling and service boundaries.
• Model and query data across relational and NoSQL stores.
• Write clean, well-tested code with observability for live systems.
