Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a Senior Engineer to deliver expert support across enterprise infrastructure, networking, and security. The role involves remote and onsite problem solving, project delivery, and mentoring junior staff.

You will partner with clients to design effective solutions, maintain system performance, and contribute to continuous improvement while pursuing industry certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Senior Engineer role for enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and cloud tech.
• Experience with routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VRRP), SD-WAN, and security appliances.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and escalate as a senior engineer.
• Industry certifications (Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Sophos, Citrix or similar).

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support across client infrastructure, network, and IT environments.
• Diagnose, repair, configure, and upgrade hardware, systems, and network infrastructure.
• Investigate complex technical issues, identify solutions, and implement effective resolutions.
• Partner with clients to understand business requirements and recommend suitable technology solutions.
• Deliver infrastructure projects, including solution design, requirements gathering, implementation planning, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system designs.
• Monitor system performance, review logs, and manage incidents to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to support successful client outcomes.
• Act as a senior escalation point, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members.
• Support solution architecture, technical pre-sales activities, and proposal development.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and ongoing professional development.
