Job summary

Hunt St, Pty is seeking an experienced NET CMS Tech Lead to shape the client’s engineering capability while remaining hands-on. You'll mentor developers, lead technical decisions, and design scalable CMS solutions using .NET and Umbraco.

This 100% remote, contractor role aligns with AU business hours (10 AM–6 PM). You will engage directly with the client and participate in discovery, architecture, development, deployment and post-launch support, delivering high-quality software and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the engineering team, promoting best practices and technical excellence.
• Design scalable, maintainable digital solutions using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem and CMS platforms (Umbraco preferred)
• Provide technical leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain complex full-stack web applications.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture planning, and solution design.
• Establish and improve engineering standards, development processes, and delivery practices.
• Review code and ensure high-quality technical outputs across projects.
• Support technical pre-sales by contributing to proposals, estimates, and solution presentations.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide technical guidance to the wider team.
• Promote secure software development practices and technical governance.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering capability, tooling, and processes.
