Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd seeks a meticulous and self-directed Bookkeeper & Accounting Associate to own the day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple entities, including real estate and hospitality investments. You will reconcile monthly books, maintain orderly records, and ensure audit-ready statements on a predictable schedule.

The ideal candidate will work independently, ask questions, and handle confidential financial information with discretion. Fluency in English is required for clear communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, including senior or lead responsibility for the full close cycle.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities or a portfolio of related businesses, not a single company.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online for all entities, keeping each set of books current and audit-ready.
• Categorize and code transactions across bank, credit card, and merchant accounts with a consistent COA.
• Reconcile all accounts monthly and maintain organized digital records of receipts and invoices.
• Manage intercompany transfers, owner contributions, and distributions between entities.
• Produce monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) per entity and consolidated.
• Track cash positions and maintain dashboards for ownership visibility of assets and liabilities.
• Assist with tax support, year-end schedules, and deadlines.
• Identify gaps/backlogs and implement standardized procedures and tools to reduce manual work.
