Job summary

Dyson in the Philippines seeks a Motor Drives Engineer to join the MDAC team in Manila. You will apply your skills in electrical machines design, modelling and simulation, and power electronics to deliver motor drives solutions for next generation Dyson products.

Working in a cross‑functional project team, you will design, verify, and optimise motor control algorithms, document requirements, and support production test systems and calibration processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics or Mechatronics.
• Experience with electrical machines, motor control, power electronics, and sensing technologies.
• Strong MATLAB, SIMULINK and SPICE knowledge.
• FEA experience in electrical machines.
• Programming in C or Python or LabVIEW.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use lab equipment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication; self‑motivated.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and implementation of motor control algorithms in product and production per project plan.
• Document motor control requirements, design guides, test methods and change requests.
• Review system verification results and provide feedback.
• Assist commissioning and troubleshooting of complex production end-of-line tests and calibration systems.
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with Dyson operations on design, commissioning and testing of equipment.
