Job summary

Vision Express Philippines is seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead category strategy for Prescription Lenses and related products in a dynamic retail environment in Metro Manila.

You will oversee category buying, pricing, inventory, supplier negotiations, and performance analysis, coordinating with cross functional teams to optimize sell‑out and margin while maintaining an excellent customer shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4-year course in business, supply chain or related field.
• 5+ years of related work experience in the industry.
• 2–3 years of managerial experience leading cross-department projects.
• Strong understanding of category, marketing, inventory and product management.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Category sales of Prescription Lenses – Stock & Customized Lenses, Contact Lenses and Contact Lens Solutions.
• Category product and marketing strategy.
• Product buying, pricing, and open-to-buy management.
• Category budget and P&L management.
• Supplier management, relationship, and negotiation.
• Product portfolio, SKU mix, per store curation and allocation.
• Inventory management, fulfillment, and replenishment.
• Market, competitor, and product analysis.
• Assists the Business Unit Head in formulating and executing product and marketing strategies.
• Curate the product portfolio for prescription lenses – managing pricing, margins, and deals for these products.
• Prepare open-to-buys for categories assigned, ensuring optimal inventory levels at any given time.
• Be on top of new and innovative products with suppliers and competitors.
• Spot product trends on a per SKU, per store, per channel level.
• Improves departmental processes and procedures.
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret category reports to make well-informed decisions.
• May perform other tasks as assigned.
