Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation's Didipio Mine in the Philippines is looking for a Principal Mining Engineer to drive long-term mine planning and integrate technical, operational, and economic inputs for safe and sustainable mining outcomes.

The role requires leading Life of Mine planning, coordinating across teams, and mentoring engineers while upholding safety and regulatory standards. A degree in Mining Engineering and extensive underground planning experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Extensive underground mine planning experience (open stoping preferred).
• Strong planning, scheduling and sustainable mining knowledge.
• Proficiency in Deswik CAD and Scheduling Suite.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimisation of Life of Mine plans and schedules.
• Coordinate quarterly and long-term planning across technical and operational teams.
• Monitor and update mine plans based on performance and priorities.
• Conduct scenario analysis and trade-off studies for decisions.
• Develop mine planning standards, systems and procedures.
