Job summary

IT Managers Inc. is seeking a Mainframe Tester with 3–5 years of experience to perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of mainframe applications and help ensure quality and stability.

You will create and execute test cases, validate batch jobs and data processing, document results, and coordinate with developers, business analysts and other QA teams to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software testing experience, preferably in mainframe environments.
• Experience testing COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and/or VSAM applications.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience creating test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
• Knowledge of batch processing and mainframe job execution.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional, system, integration, and regression testing for mainframe applications.
• Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Analyze requirements and identify appropriate test coverage.
• Validate batch jobs, data processing, and application outputs.
• Log, track, and retest defects through resolution.
• Perform test data preparation and support UAT activities.
• Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and other QA teams.
• Document test results and provide status updates.
