Job summary

V2 Solutions is seeking an experienced COBOL developer for mainframe applications. You will design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs using Micro Focus tools such as IMS DB and VSAML.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design solutions that meet customer needs. Develop complex database queries using CICS, IMS, and VSAM to extract data from large datasets and troubleshoot performance issues.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in developing COBOL programs on mainframes (AS400) using Micro Focus platforms like IMS DB and VSAML.
• Strong understanding of DBMS concepts including relational databases (CICS), flat files (IMS), and hierarchical databases (VSAM).
• Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries for querying large datasets.
• Experience working with IT services & consulting companies providing technical support for mainframe applications.
